2014 Oscar Nominations

Last Thursday Chris Hemsworth and the new president Cheryl Boone Isaacs annunced the nominations for the Oscar. So exciting!
The films with more nominations are American Hustle by David O. Russel and Gravity by Alfonso Cuaron: 10 nomination for these two. Well it's not a surprise! Then there are 9 nomination for 12 Years a Slave by Steve McQueen. All these director are nominated, of course.
9 nominees for best picture, again. Beside the frontrunner, some title weren't expected, like Nebraska. We can also find Her with the big surprise for its director Spike Jonze, even if it has been already apriciated at the Venice's Festival.
We can't find Tom Hanks for Saving Mr. Banks or Captain Phillips. That's a shame. Well, I personally loved him with Emma Thompson, and we can't find her either. There are some great women for best actress, famous names like Meryl Streep and Amy Adams, that have made great performances as always. In best actor there are Christian Bale and Leonardo di Caprio that have been amazing in those films.
So happy to see The Wind Rises in Best animated feature, you know I'm a big fan! This year Disney present only Frozen, winner of the Golen Globe.
It's strange that Young and Beautiful by Lana del Rey isn't nominated for best music (original song), even if there are some good title. I'm pleased that American Hustle and The Great Gatsby are nominated fo best costume design, because they are gorgeous, no one can deny it
I'm really curious about who is going to win this Oscar, so let's wait untill 2nd March to find out!
You can find the full nominations list down here.
What do you think? Who will win?

Emozine a mille!
